Mark will discuss rewards, risks and portfolio and organizational challenges faced by LPs pursuing co-investment in private equity transactions sourced by PE sponsors. He will also suggest, based on over 30 years of experience at an active institutional LP and co-investor, attributes of a successful institutional co-investment program.
Objectives:
- Gain a better understanding of the risks and rewards to both LPs and GPs related to LP co-investment.
- Understand the additional time, resources and possible organizational changes that could be necessitated to pursue co-investment.
- Understand the inter-relationship between perceived LP co-investment acumen and capacity and successful sourcing.
